About Us
True South Caregivers was founded with a simple mission: to provide compassionate, dependable care that allows individuals to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. Our approach is guided by nursing leadership and built on the belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and individualized attention. We are proud to support seniors, veterans, and families throughout our community while helping them maintain independence and peace of mind.
My name is Courtney Henry, RN, and I founded True South Caregivers after spending the past six years working as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. During my time in emergency medicine, I cared for patients during some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives. One thing I witnessed repeatedly was how many individuals returned home after a hospital stay without the support they truly needed. Families often struggled to find dependable, compassionate help for their loved ones, and it became clear that our community needed more accessible home care resources.
I was born and raised in Mobile County and now live in Baldwin County, and this community has always meant a great deal to me. The people here have given me so much throughout my life and nursing career. Creating True South Caregivers was my way of giving back by providing families with the kind of care I would want for my own loved ones.
As a nurse, I understand how important safety, trust, and quality care are when inviting someone into your home. That is why True South Caregivers is built on strong values of compassion, reliability, and professionalism. Our goal is not only to provide assistance with daily living but also to bring comfort, companionship, and peace of mind to the families we serve.
We are especially proud to support our nation’s veterans by working alongside VA Community Care programs, helping connect veterans and their families with the in-home services they deserve.
At True South Caregivers, caring for people is more than a job—it is a calling.
